We are all flowers from the Same Garden celebration
Come connect over a cuppa and contribute to a creative community project.
‘We’re all flowers from the Same Garden’ has been led by the Mother Hookers CIC, in collaboration with Danum Gallery Library Museum, to connect local people who are at risk of social isolation. The Mother Hookers have been delivering workshops in care homes, day centres and at Danum Gallery Library Museum.
Local people have been making all kinds of woollen crafted items that will form part of a large yarn bomb installation in the Danum Community Garden.
Be part of the yarn bomb installation on Saturday 28th February, 11-2 pm, at Danum Gallery Library Museum and find out more about the project. This is a free event for people of all ages to come along to enjoy. There will be the opportunity to make woollen flower pompoms to decorate the garden. There will be free flower seeds available to plant and grow at home. You can also paint rocks to hide in the garden.
You can book free places by emailing [email protected].
This project is part of the Know Your Neighbourhood, Connected Communities funded programme distributed by Association Independent Museum, on behalf of DCMS and Arts Council England.
