During World War 1 over 120 Rugby Union Internationals were killed in combat including four of England 1914 Five Nations winning team’s back division, one of whom earned the Victoria Cross, the highest award for Valour. Keith Lumley will take you through the history associated with WW1 and Rugby Union including local men who represented Doncaster along with Thomas Bryan VC who played and fought with equal measure.
